And this lovely … well, I think the name says it … Meadow Death Camas! Even the Latin name (genus and species) says it all … Toxicoscordion Venenosum! All parts of the plant are poisonous to people and animals! Luckily the horses choose to not eat it, and it’s not in the pasture where the cows are! I find it quite a beautiful flower! ..
One day in June, Aengus was quite insistent that something was “on his turf” (meaning he wouldn’t stop barking 😆), but he wouldn’t leave the security of the barns. I went out to check what he saw… then went back to grab the Nikon!

“Going for a run” became riding in the quad with us, at least for a bulk of the run. This past Winter, she didn’t like the cold anymore, but she still loved being outside on the warm days, especially when we were altogether outside!

Katie never stopped hunting out here!! Every time we went for a run, she and Aengus checked out every spot they’d ever found a bird! They worked together finding grouse, backing each other up!
We miss Katie every day! She was the most incredible dog! She loved everyone and everyone loved her! She was very special!! It was such a pleasure to have her in our lives for so long!!

Sundance has been the most amazing dog!! He’s been very laid back, chill, and eager to please! And, while Maggy is a “daddy’s girl”, Sundance is definitely a “momma’s boy”; but he’ll take love and pets and snuggles from everyone and love them right back!! He’s gotten quite grey around the eyes, and as with Maggy, he’s slowed down, but he seems to be very healthy! Every day with him is a blessing!!
